The Malaysian Ministry of Science and Technology and the Department of Health and Human Rights support Ma and Taiwan signed a memorandum of cooperation for the Herbal Asia Council, making Taiwan a member of the sponsoring country.

Wu Yongchang, director of the Natural Medicine and New Drug Development Center of Kaohsiung Medical University, represented the Taiwan delegation and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Health of Malaysia to present the status of Taiwanese herbal medicine and industry.

The center used the name of Herbal Asia Council (HAC) Taiwan to compile Taiwan's research energy in herbal medicine, natural medicine, and functional foods, and showed participants the strength of Taiwan and the introduction of research on Chinese herbal medicine or natural medicine in Taiwan.
